Making small decorative changes to your home doesn’t have to cost you a fortune, in fact if done wisely you can even end up saving! Here are a few decorating on a dime ideas to remember:

• Invest:
  • Invest in key pieces such as a rug. They can be pricey, but a true focal point of your space
  • Invest in good, quality furniture. There’s no use buying cheap if you’re going to have to replace it within a few short years.
• Splurge:
  • Higher ticket decorative items such as pieces of art can be added with time. Perhaps purchase one piece to begin with and continue your collection when able.
• Save:
  • Look for the deals! Check the internet or catalogs for special savings on items you’re determined not to live without. *Or* wait for a sale at your favorite furniture/home improvement store. Much like the splurge category, if you’re able to wait for a good sale for your decorative items it’s best to hold off.
